PLAINFIELD, NJ - Pros vs. Joes, a basketball fundraiser featuring former NFL players who represent Lonnie Allgood's Dreams for Kids organization, will play against Plainfield’s Hubbard Middle School staff and students at Plainfield High School on Saturday, Feb. 25th.
This event, beginning at 6:00 pm, will also showcase the extraordinary talents of teachers and students, and recognize the second marking period honor roll and perfect attendance students. Additionally, contestants from Hubbard's talent show and a science teacher's band will perform.
The school plans to honor its police officers and firefighters by having them play the pros in the first period.
"This event celebrates Hubbard Middle School's vision of producing change agents within the global community by being self-motivated, self-sufficient, and productive citizens.", says Willie Cheatham, Math Teacher and Event Coordinator.
