[Plainfield, New Jersey - May 29, 2018] - Queen City Academy Charter School (QCACS) of Plainfield, New Jersey will host a Unity Fest Community Health Fair on Saturday, June 16, 2018, to promote healthy lifestyles for kids and families of the Plainfield community.

The QCAC Unity Fest Community Health Fair is a collaborative effort to reach underserved communities that face health risks and seeks to be a vehicle to improve the overall health outlook through prevention, nutrition, exercise and healthy life choices.

“We realize that in order to educate our scholars we cannot look at them through a single lens and as such we seek to educate not just the scholar in our seats but also the family” stated Danielle West, Chief Academic Officer & Director of QCACS. “To that end, we know that health is wealth and often our communities which serve black and brown scholars are overrun with fast food options but are food deserts to those healthy brain foods that aid in their physical growth. For that reason, we find it vitally important that we educate our scholars and the community which is an extension of who they are on healthy lifestyle options.”
