SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - Union County has issued an alert to residents of Scotch Plains and neighboring towns regarding construction that will close Raritan Road near Terrill Road anywhere from 2-4 months.

The purpose of the construction involves replacing a culvert, which allows water to flow under the road one side to the other.

The construction will take place 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There will be a detour implemented by the contractor that all vehicles are advised to navigate.
