The building was originally a family home in the 1900's, and was converted into a boys school in the 1930's by the Wardlaw-Hartridge School.  In the late 1970's, duCret moved in, and now fully occupies the property. The building is a Historic landmark.

In addition to the main house, there is wing that sports a gymnasium-sized fine art floor, multiple classrooms, a photography lab, a jewelry design lab, a ceramics lab, a stained glass lab, a computer lab and an auditorium.
