PLAINFIELD, NJ — Plainfield's duCret School of Art hosted an event Sunday afternoon that featured the League of Women Voters of Plainfield, Tri-Fold Ministries, and representatives from Census 2020. School supplies and books were available for students. The event was meant to educate participants on both the importance of filling out the census and how it can impact communities over the next decade, and the need for residents to register and cast their vote.

Some of the Crazy Faith Riders, a staple in the annual 4th of July parade, were also on hand. Wayne, President of the group, said, "I just love being with the cowboys and cowgirls. I love doing what we do, and just reaching out, showing cowboy love, and showing people about these majestic creatures," turning to his horse Misty.

Tri-Fold Ministries, also known as The Women's Table, shared a video on the importance of voting. The group promotes a sisterhood of support, encouraging "women and children to move forward academically, spiritually, economically and politically building strong family and community relationships that foster success and strength to navigate through life's obstacles."
