PLAINFIELD, NJ - The New Jersey State Bicycle Championships event was held in Plainfield for a third year in a row.
The races were held in the downtown area, and TAPinto Plainfield was there to capture some of the excitement.
In addition to the many bicycle races, local food vendors were on hand, serving up tasty fare as a part of the Taste of Plainfield.
On Tuesday, Mayor Adrian O. Mapp had said, "We're excited about what will happen this coming Sunday. The city of Plainfield will be transformed into a race track for these bike cyclists, and it is something that we are very excited about, not only because of the bike race, but the other things that are going to be happening as a result of this race in partnership with other entities, such as the unveiling of the LimeBike, such as the opportunity for our young people, our kids, to be exposed to wholesome recreational activities by being encouraged to take advantage of cycling in the outdoors so that they can live a healthier lifestyle."
