PLAINFIELD, NJ - A group of concerned citizens is planning a sister march that coincides with the Tax March on Washington on April 15th, to take place at Cedar Brook Park in Plainfield.
While the march is a demand for Donald Trump to release his tax returns, according to Maggie Savoca, it is also a community rally, bringing together neighbors across Union County.
Be sure to RSVP HERE to help the group plan for security, refreshments, and bathroom facilities. And bring a picnic lunch, blanket and chairs the day of the rally.
Cedar Brook Park, home of the Plainfield Garden Club's Shakespeare Garden, is accessible via Randolph Road. The rally will take place at the cricket field from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Following is the press release:
Every American should demand to see his tax returns and want to meet new neighbors.
This rally is a sister event of the national Tax March on Washington - demanding Donald J. Trump release his tax returns. Every American should demand to see his tax returns as every American president has done since President Nixon. Without seeing his returns we do not know about his conflicts of interest, his foreign entanglements, and whether he is paying his fair share of the federal tax burden.
More so, this day is a Community Unity Rally. In much the same way as the Women’s March - “We stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, our safety our health and our families - recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country.”
We acknowledge the racial, socioeconomic, gender and other lines we often do not cross or speak about. Though many in America have worked for centuries toward a more tolerant and inclusive society, we sometimes fall short. The hateful rhetoric of this election cycle, and its stunning outcome have incited hate speech and violence unlike many of us have seen in our life times.
While there may be differences, we agree on many important issues - providing safe, affordable healthcare to all, providing quality education, valuing and protecting all people equally, reducing suffering and violence in our communities from addiction, guns, physical violence and terrorism, and providing an economy that works for all.
