PLAINFIELD, NJ - Did you have a chance to donate on #GivingTuesday? If not, TAPinto Plainfield offers up more giving opportunities in our '12 Days of Giving' feature.
Today, we want to tell you about two coat drives around town.
The first one is care of LiVay Sweet Shop. Owner Stacey says, "I have asked myself sometimes 'Who Am I? Why have I decided to stay in Plainfield my home town to work and live?'
LiVay said that she wants to be more than an example. "I want to be a part of my town's growth and changes for the better."
New and gently used coats will be donated to local kids in need in the community. There are two drop-off locations: 1048 Watchung Avenue in Plainfield, and 1590 Route 22 East in Watchung.
Another coat drive is being held by Netherwood Heights Neighbors. Gently used men's, women's, and children's jackets and coats will be given to Grace Church and other local area groups that provide for those in need.
Donations can be dropped off at the home of Howard and Louise Colodne at 701 Belvidere Avenue in Plainfield.
