  • Join the Community Choir, with Choir Director Wendell C. Woods at Shiloh Baptist Church, 515 West 5th Street at 7:00 p.m.  Must attend three out of four rehearsals, and Nov. 27 is a mandatory dress rehearsal for the Dec. 1 performance at City Hall.

  • It's Anime night at the Plainfield Public Library, 800 Park Avenue, at 5:30 p.m.  Tonight, enjoy "Fairy Tail - The Movie" directed by Masaya Fujimori.

  • No one should spend this day alone.  The First Unitarian Society of Plainfield is offering a free Thanksgiving dinner for anyone who is looking for a place to share a hot meal and fellowship on Thanksgiving Day.  All are welcome.
  • The Plainfield Cardinals will play in Westfield on Thanksgiving Day, taking on the Blue Devils in their 113th meeting, a rivalry that ranks #17 in the top 31 fiercest rivalries in N.J. HS football.  Game time:  11:00 a.m.
  • The library is closed.


  • The Holiday Sound & Light Show with the Model Railroad Club:  the Holiday Sound and Light show begins on Friday, November 24 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Shows will continue from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Fridays, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sundays until December 10.  Read more.

  • THE ORCHESTRA OF ST. PETER BY THE SEA opens its Christmas Season in concert at the Church of the Sacred Heart, South Plainfield, NJ on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 3:00 p.m.  Read more.
