4/1/17 UPDATE:  According to Plainfield police officials, the Garfield Ave. accident involved a single vehicle that struck an unoccupied parked car.  Two occupants were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  There were no pedestrians involved in this accident as previously noted.

PLAINFIELD, NJ - On the evening of Wednesday, March 29th, police, fire and other rescue units were called to the 200 block of Garfield Avenue in Plainfield, with possible pedestrian struck.

In the same hour, fire vehicles were could be seen at the corner of Emerson Avenue and George Street in Plainfield.
