PLAINFIELD, NJ - On April 23 the Plainfield Library's Adult Literacy Department held a "Voter Registration and Mock Election Day” workshop to help Plainfield residents and neighboring community residents become more familiar with the democratic process. Many of the attendees had recently become citizens of the United States.

A total of 40 people were in attendance and 20 of those individuals became registered voters.  This event was organized by Stella Segura, the ESL Services Coordinator for Literacy Volunteers, along with volunteers Jacqueline Arango and Ryan Moore.
