PLAINFIELD, NJ - April is Autism Awareness Month, and WallynZavy's Autistic Kids Can Do! is doing its part to get the word out with its 5K Walk for Autism/Disability Awareness, tol be held at Plainfield High School.
The route will take walkers around the perimeter of the school, and the day promises games, prizes, and fun for all. Activities include face painting, ZUMBA®, prizes and other fun activities for the community.
The walk will start around 11:00 am, and is in partnership with the Plainfield School District and Plainfield SEPAG (Special Education Parent Advisory Group) to raise awareness for autism and other disabilities. Proceeds of this event will support families through advocacy, awareness promotion, workshops, social activities, resources.
Water will be provided at every 1K to make sure all participants stay hydrated, and additional refreshments will be available for purchase. Vendor opportunities exist.
