PLAINFIELD, NJ — Plainfield's City Council meets on Tuesday, due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday. According to the agenda, the mayor will present his nominees for the Zoning Board, the Plainfield Area Regional Sewerage Authority, the PMUA, the Plainfield District Management Corporation, and the Plainfield Central Business District Advisory Board.
The Department of Finance resolution authorizing the adoption of the current fund temporary budget appropriations budget amendment for the first quarter of 2020 is on the agenda, in the amount of $21,596,152.
Resolutions to award professional service contracts to Pennoni Associates, Lewis Consulting Group, CME Associates, Nishuane Group LLC, and Remington & Vernick are also on the agenda. There is another resolution authorizing the request for Urban Enterprise Zone Funding to continue the marketing, strategic rebranding and promoting the city of Plainfield, in an amount not to exceed $125,000 from the Urban Enterprise Zone Fund.
An Economic Development resolution directs the Planning Board to conduct a second examination of the TODN-South Avenue Redevelopment Plan and to provide recommendations to the council as to redevelopment plan revisions.
There is also a resolution to direct the Planning Board to reexamine the TODD West Redevelopment Plan, and to provide recommendations to the council as to redevelopment plan revisions.
What else? There is a resolution authorizing the request for UEZ funding to continue the marketing, strategic rebranding and promoting of the city for an amount not to exceed $125,000 from the Urban Enterprise Zone Fund.
