Dear Plainfield Board of Education Candidate,

Each year, as a service to Plainfield voters, the League of Women Voters of Plainfield holds a candidate forum prior to the election.

This year, six candidates are running for three seats on the board. The winning candidates will serve a three-year term.

Our Fall 2020 Plainfield BOE Candidates Forum, organized by the league, will be held on the evening of Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at the duCret School of the Arts, 1030 Central Avenue, Plainfield on the Front Porch. The event will also be on Facebook Live and will be posted on the LWV Plainfield YouTube Channel.

Candidate bio, photo, and answers to the league’s questions will be posted on the league’s Facebook and Instagram social media platforms prior to the event.

The forum will begin promptly at 6:00 pm and will end at 7:00 pm.

Participating candidates will need to check in by 5:30 PM to meet the state league-appointed moderator and become familiar with the setting.

The public is invited to send questions for the candidates to answer to before Tuesday, Sep 22, 2020. The moderator will review them prior to the event.

We are asking the public to bring a chair and social distance while wearing the required mask.
