SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Holy Savior Academy's Drama Club performed 'Getting to Know: The Sound of Music' on May 3 and May 4.
Holy Savior Academy's Drama Club just finished its fourth year and has performed six shows. The Drama Club is run under the direction of Susan Loughlin, Daneile Micale and Eva Tripodi. This year’s production, which featured a cast and crew of over 50 students in third through eighth grade, had the audience singing along to some of their favorites like Do- Re- Mi and Edelweiss.
Additionally, this year, eighth graders at Holy Savior who participated in multiple shows were eligible to be members of the school's inaugural class of the International Junior Thespian Society Troupe 89548, which honors student achievement in the theater. Congratulations to: Jadin Collins, Skylar Talley, Kaila Barnes, Jackson Gaffney, Nicholas Robertson, Gerrolin Beauzile, Courtney Coleman, Jamie Metz, and Gwen Nieves. In addition, parent volunteer Debbie Metz was named an Honorary Thespian for working with the Drama Club since its inception.
