  • The Plainfield City Council's agenda fixing session is in Municipal Court, 325 Watchung Ave., at 7:30 p.m.  Download the agendapdf.  A proclamation will be presented to the First Unitarian Society of Plainfield.  And Union County representatives will provide an update on the East Front Street Safety Improvement Project at Watchung, Roosevelt and Sanford avenues, and Norwood Ave./Richmond St.
  • It's Cinema Tuesdays at the Plainfield Public Library, 800 Park Ave., at 1 p.m.




  • The Plainfield Board of Education work and study session will be held in the conference room at Plainfield High School, 950 Park Ave., at 8 p.m.  Download the agendapdf.


  • The Zoning Board meets at 7 p.m. in City Hall Library at 7 p.m., 515 Watchung Ave.


  • The City of Plainfield will hold its tree lighting ceremony, and Santa will stop by, too.  Read more.

  • The Historical Society of Plainfield is holding its 22nd Annual Tree Lighting ceremony at the Drake House Museum.  There are two sessions, at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m., and Santa will be making a visit.  At 602 West Front St.  Read more.


  • Kids can enjoy Storytime with Barry Goode in the Children's Room at the Plainfield Public Library at noon.
  • The duCret School of Art is having a Wine & Chocolate Tasting event, from 7 to 9 p.m. at 1030 Central Ave. 


  • Steep special teas and eat delicious hand-made scones while listening to live music at duCret's Christmas Tea event, 2 to 4 p.m. is Plainfield's free online daily newspaper for Plainfield, NJ news.
