PLAINFIELD, NJ - On a beautiful Sunday afternoon on June 11, the Van Wyck Brooks Historic District held an afternoon tea event at the classic historic home of Plainfield's Ahrre Maros.

Expert Sharon Levy was on hand to educate guests in two separate seatings about the different kinds of tea, whether fine leaves are better than thicker ones, and why you shouldn't use a mug to drink your tea.

The event included sit-down tea service with scones, macaroons and tea sandwiches.  There were also prizes for tea trivia and best hat, and a surprise gift for all those who had attended.

The group plans to hold additional tea sessions.  Keep up to date with future events at www.vwbhd.com.
