PLAINFIELD, NJ — The Plainfield Public Library has expanded some service options, it was announced Monday. This includes browsing and self-checkout of the New Book, Young Adult, Graphic Novel, and Career collections.
All other collections must be requested via Curbside at this time. (http://www.plainfieldlibrary.info/Services/Curbside.html)
The library is now allowing up to six patrons (ages 14+) in the building at one time (not including those visiting the Children's Room) for computer user, copy/scan/fax services, and limited browsing/self-checkout.
The Children's Room is still accepting visitors by appointment only (http://www.plainfieldlibrary.info/Departments/Childrens/childrens_appointments.html).
No in-person Circulation services are available but someone is available to assist you via phone (908-757-1111, x111) and provide materials via Curbside Service.
The public restrooms are still unavailable, and patrons must leave the building when finished with their specific tasks. The Library's Wi-Fi is available for use outside the building 24/7, and reaches both parking lots and across Library Park.
