PLAINFIELD, NJ — The City of Plainfield will host its annual holiday lights celebration and tree lighting ceremony on Friday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m.  A visit from Santa who will ride in on a fire engine, escorted by the brave men and women in the Plainfield Fire Division, is always a highlight of the event. The jolly fellow will then spend some time distributing toys and taking pictures with children.  There will be carols and hot chocolate, too.

Santa will arrive at 6:45 p.m. for the gift distribution to children 12-years-old and younger.  Proof of residency is required.
