PLAINFIELD, NJ - Get those taste buds ready for Jessica's Cafe & Wood Fired Pizza, a new restaurant with an Italian and French inspired menu that is set to open on Tuesday in Plainfield.
According to Owner and Chef Ermelin Saqe, dishes will include salads, pastas, hot pressed paninis, authentic Naples wood-fired specialty pizzas, and entrées such as short ribs and seared filet mignon. Gluten-free and whole wheat options will be available for some pasta dishes, and desserts, made on site, include crème brûlée and house made ice cream. Formerly of Restaurant Lorena's in Maplewood, Saqe told TAPinto Plainfield each dish tells a story.
Jessica's Cafe & Wood Fired Pizza plans a soft opening on Tuesday, June 11, with a grand opening to follow in a few weeks. The restaurant address is 150 Terrill Road, on the Plainfield side of the street, and parking is available.
Saqe said he chose the intimate Plainfield location, named after his wife who has supported his dream to open his own restaurant, because it is also conveniently located near Watchung, Scotch Plains, and Fanwood.
Delivery service will be available soon, and online orders can be placed on Slice and Grubhub. Saqe said he is still hiring for some positions, too.
