PLAINFIELD, NJ — CONVOS, a talk series on S.T.E.A.M., creative careers and entrepreneurship, and presented by the Academy for Innovation in Education to celebrate the opening of its STEAM program, will be held February 29.
The first guest will be Malcolm Joseph, teacher and A.I.E.'s Director of Music & Arts. Joseph has toured as bassist for Grace Jones, and performed at the AfroPunk Music Festival, among other accomplishments. The talk will be moderated by Peter Hadar, a singer and songwriter, and founder and creative director for The Honors Program, & Guard d’Avant Music Festival.
According to A.I.E. they connect, educate and promote equal opportunity for learners in a diverse environment to develop a pathway to STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) careers by:
- Providing meaningful and enriching experiences with rigorous curriculum;
- Empowering youth with 21st century skills;
- Promoting critical thinking and entrepreneurial mindset to solve problems in students lives and their communities.
