PLAINFIELD, NJ - Five outstanding Plainfield High School Class of 2019 students were admitted to New Jersey City University on Monday as part of the school's Instant Decision Day.
NJCU, according to its website, provides students with "small classes led by world-class faculty mentors, a broad array of high-quality undergraduate and graduate degree programs, and the lowest tuition offered by a four-year public university in the state of New Jersey—all on a thriving campus in bustling, cosmopolitan Jersey City."
Erick Ramirez Jacinto, Sergio Perez Calles, Darwin Garrido, and Josue Hernandez Rodriguez attend the Bilingual Academy, while Justine Brad Salinas Bayas attends the General Program at Plainfield High School.
Dr. Johanna Amaro, Ed.D, has been dedicated to assisting the students with the admission process.
The students will be working on degrees in Aeronautics, Physics, Medicine, Architecture and Mathematics. Some will also attend NJIT, and will double major as part of a five-year commitment to their college education.
