PLAINFIELD, NJ - The community is invited to attend the Queen City Mentoring Academy 6th annual graduation ceremony at Plainfield High School on Saturday.  The children who participate come into the program through referrals by principals, guidance counselors, teachers and parents.  A strong emphasis for the cadets is placed on "self-respect, respect of others, teamwork and commitment to one’s goals" during the multi-week summer program.

The free program was started in 2014 by Officers Jesse McNeill, Ronald James, Bernel Harrison, and Jihad Carter.  The format of the program is similar to what actual police academy cadets experience.

The graduation ceremony will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.  Plainfield High School is locatd at 950 Park Avenue.
