  • Boys volleyball:  away, at 4 p.m. vs. Roselle Catholic
  • The Youth Advisory Board, for library patrons age 11-17, meets in Room 2, 3:45 to 4:30 p.m.

 

  • Plainfield Public Schools Board of Education business meeting, 8 p.m. at Plainfield High School, 950 Park Ave; download the agendapdf.
  • Pins, Pens and Puns business seminar at Los Antojitos Restaurant, 25 Watchung Ave., 5:45 to 8 p.m.  It's a crash course for business owners, entrepreneurs, and employees.

WEDNESDAY

  • Senior Space at the Plainfield Public Library, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Summer Food Program recruitment, at 5:30 p.m. in City Hall Annex
  • Co-ed Golf:  at home, 4 p.m., vs. Union High School
  • Outdoor Track:  away, Tri@Linden/Rahway at 4 p.m.
  • Family Open Mic at the Plainfield Public Library, at 3:30 p.m. in Room 2

THURSDAY

  • Boys volleyball:  away at 4 p.m. vs. Summit
  • Baseball:  home game vs. Rahway at 4 p.m.
  • Earth Day & Arbor Day Crafts with Miss Mary Lou in the Children's Room at the library.  All materials are supplied.  At 3:30 p.m.
  • Planning Board meeting in City Hall Library, 515 Watchung Ave., at 7:30 p.m.
  • Contractors and Developers rescheduled networking seminar at PNC Bank, 1125 South Ave. from 6 to 8 p.m.

FRIDAY

  • 2nd Annual Autism Color Walk/Run, 5 to 9 p.m. at Barlow Elementary, at 2 Farragut Rd.  Check-in begins at 4 p.m.
  • Baseball:  away game at Oratory Catholic Prep, at 4 p.m.
  • Carefree Fridays:  Bridging the Gap with Law Enforcement and Our Community, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the high school.  Read more here.
  • Shiloh Baptist Church Women's Conference, a pre-conference expo, 515 West 4th Street, at 7 p.m.

SATURDAY

  • Earth Day Fair at First Unitarian Society of Plainfield.  Read more here.
  • Baseball:  away game vs. Woodbridge, at 2 p.m.
  • Outdoor track:  Bulldog Relays, at 8 a.m.
  • YMCA Healthy Kids Day® from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 518 Watchung Ave. The day-long event features activities such as in-door boat races, healthy snacks, dance, sports demonstrations, a bouncy house, face painting, raffles, summer camp open house and much more! Each year games, healthy cooking demonstrations, arts and crafts are provided to help motivate and teach families how to develop healthy routines at home.  Read more.
  • Shiloh Baptist Church Women's Conference begins at 8 a.m.
  • What is Islam and Who are the Muslims?  Masjidullah of Plainfield presents a community outreach program, at Emerson Community School, 305 Emerson Ave., from 1 to 4 p.m.  Speaker topics include:
