PLAINFIELD, NJ — Diomedes Miranda was a long-time Plainfield resident who lived on the 300 block of West 7th Street. He was also the owner of a corner store for eight years at 1208 West Front Street before he retired. After giving back to the Queen City, his family needs your help.
Miranda, known as Meme to his family, was a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. In March, he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and fought a long, hard battle. But on his 74th birthday on November 18, according to a GoFundMe page, the Lord called him to his Kingdom. He passed away peacefully just as his family finished praying the rosary at his bedside.
The family is asking for the community's help to give Meme the funeral and burial he deserves.
The campaign's goal is $10,000; as of this writing, $1,725 has been raised.
