METUCHEN, NJ - The 24th Annual Brother Bernardine, S.C. Golf Classic held on June 25, 2019 raised more that $70,000 for Need-Based Financial Assistance for Saint Joseph High School students whose families could not otherwise afford to send their son to Saint Joseph’s.
The Class of 2019 won the class cup challenge beating out 23 other class years that were represented at the outing. In a post on the Saint Joseph Facebook page, these youngest of players were recognized for another win upon their departure from the school’s campus, “Congratulations Class of 2019, mark this down as one more success before you start your college journey.”
At the post-tournament dinner, Brother Richard Leven, S.C. was honored for his 60 years of consecrated life as a Brother of the Sacred Heart. He was one of the first brothers to serve at the school. Brother Rich, being a huge Yankee fan was gifted a letter from the Yankees organization as well as a Yankee jacket.
