PLAINFIELD, NJ – The Plainfield Municipal Utilities Authority's annual Eric. C. Watson Environmental Fair took place under sunny skies on Saturday at the park next to the Plainfield Public Library. Marking its 20th anniversary, the popular PMUA event featured educational displays from the county and local organizations, as well as music, games and food.
The fair had something for everyone. Many organizations, such as the Liberty Science Center, Somerset NJ Soil Conservation, Union County’s Trailside Nature Center and Turtle Back Zoo, were on hand to provide residents with educational exhibits. The League of Women Voters provided voter registration information, while Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church provided information on the church’s 175th anniversary.
Families lined up to feast on the free hamburgers and hotdogs, and kids were entertained with the large bounce houses.
Enjoy these scenes from the festivities!
