PLAINFIELD, NJ - The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch as severe weather is expected to impact Plainfield and its surrounding areas.
High winds and heavy rain with the potential for flooding is expected Friday into Saturday morning. The storm is expected to intensify later in the day on Friday with wind gusts reaching up to 55 miles an hour, and a substantiated wind of 20-30 miles per hour.
Overall 2-3 inches of rain is expected, which could cause some flood issues thus making driving difficult.
There is a concern for power outages and trees falling.
