PLAINFIELD, NJ — Superintendent of Plainfield Public Schools, Dr. Diana Mitchell, announced late Thursday the immediate closing of Hub Stine Field and all Plainfield Public School fields. The move came a day after Governor Murphy's Executive Order No. 118 ordered all parks in the state to be closed.

It also follows Mayor Adrian O. Mapp's virtual town hall meeting on Wednesday. Residents raised concerns over the growing number of residents using the track and the small groups continuing to gather at various school fields, violating social distancing recommendations.
