Plainfield Public Schools to Close, Meals to be Made Available to Students

PLAINFIELD, NJ — The Plainfield Public School district has made the decision to close due to increased concerns over the COVID-19 coronavirus.  Schools will be closed Wednesday, March 18 to Friday, April 3.

Plainfield Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Diana Mitchell said schools will be open on Tuesday, March 17 for a half-day.  Students are urged to come to school and pick up instructional materials to complete while the schools are closed.

Breakfast and lunch will be available to all Plainfield students at three locations. Students will be able to “grab and go” each meal. The schools are located at:

  • Clinton School - 1302 W. 4th St.
