PLAINFIELD, NJ — Plainfield's Historic Preservation Commission will meet on Tuesday, and agenda items include discussions on vinyl window installations, and a presentation by a representative from the Nishuane Group on planned amendments to the North Avenue Historic District.
An owner of a home in the Netherwood Heights Historic District seeks changes that include a window reconfiguration in the living room, new window installation, and roof and siding installation. The construction of a crawl space addition on the first floor will also be discussed. The house had been damaged in a fire back in November 2017.
The owner of a house on Kensington Ave. in the Putnam/Watchung Heights Historic District seeks to remove an existing slate roof, and replace it with an Ecostar synthetic slate, among other changes.
A Van Wyck Brooks Historic District homeowner seeks information on a porch restoration, including roof, columns, balustrades, and more, on Central Ave.

The meeting will be held in the library at City Hall, 515 Watchung Ave., on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend, and will have a chance to comment.
