Plainfield, NJ  - TAPinto Plainfield received an advisory in response to a motor vehicle accident reported at West 4th Street and Clinton Avenue, directly in front of Clinton Elementary School. The Plainfield Board of Education Advisory reads:

"There was a none school-related accident in front of Clinton ES this morning.  A community member was involved in car accident in front of the school.  The school went into lockdown as a precautionary safety measure.  The school is currently out of lockdown and has resumed a normal day. All students and staff members are safe."

Union County Police Department were on the scene and the block was closed off to traffic.
