PLAINFIELD, NJ — Plainfield's Fire Division is helping out Santa this holiday season, collecting gifts for boys and girls in town.  The unwrapped toys can be dropped off at Plainfield Fire Headquarters, 315 Central Ave., through Saturday, Dec. 21.

Another chance to contribute is at the Annual Holiday Party being thrown by the Plainfield FMBA Local #7 and IAFF at Faraones Night Club, 111 East Front St. from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12.  Admission is an unwrapped toy with a $15 or greater value, or a $10 cash donation.

So on Sunday, Dec. 22 from 1 to 4 p.m., dash through the Queen City, laughing all the way, to make spirits bright, and make the children's day!  Bring the kids to Plainfield High School, 950 Park Ave., for a free gift.  They might even catch a glimpse of the big guy in a red suit!
