PLAINFIELD, NJ – Plainfield Police Department has issued a warning to all local residents to be aware of potential scams in connection with the Coronavirus crisis.

Residents received a robocall today indicating that individuals posing as government agency representatives, specifically the Red Cross or the CDC, were going door o door offering to provide testing for COVID-19 virus.

Residents are asked to notify the Police Department if they are approached.
