PLAINFIELD, NJ — A Breaking News Network alert was issued Sunday afternoon about two stabbings on the 300 block of Monroe Avenue in Plainfield. Multiple police units were on site, along with at least two EMS vehicles.

TAPinto Plainfield reached out to Police Director Lisa Burgess for confirmation, who said, "There is only one individual cut to my knowledge. However, I have no additional information at this time.”

But in an update released Monday, it was noted police located a 39-year-old female injured during a domestic altercation. They also found a 38-year-old male with a self-inflicted laceration. Both individuals were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
