PLAINFIELD, NJ - Plainfield’s boys basketball team struggled Tuesday night in a home game against the Patrick School's Celtics, falling 69-30.

At the end of the first quarter, the Celtics led 23-12.  As the buzzer sounded to end the half, the Celtics were ahead, 44-17.

The Patrick School started the third quarter with the ball, but couldn’t convert.  The Cardinals took it, but Patrick's Daryl Banks III recovered the ball and scored.  Another turnover by the Cardinals, and Majur Majak scored, with the Celtics leading 50-17 and 4:57 left.

Ron Ashbrook made a three-pointer just before the quarter ended, with the Celtics up 59-21.

The Cardinals scored just nine points in the fourth quarter, not enough to make up any ground against the visiting team.

Patrick School's Alejandro Vaszquez had 13 points.  Plainfield's Dante McCray had 5 points, and Jones had 4.
