PLAINFIELD, NJ — The Plainfield Cardinals boys tennis team finished in 7th place out of 14 teams in the Union County tennis tournament Wednesday at the Donald Van Blake Tennis Facility at Hub Stine Field. Westfield's four-year winning streak ended, losing to Summit's Hilltoppers, who finished with 92 to 88 points.

The Cardinals first singles, Isaiah Dore, took 3rd place in the UCT first singles flight, with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Cranford’s Pat Ganley.

Second and third singles, Tristan Florencio and Ricardo Oroxon, placed 8th in their flight.

The Cardinals are scheduled to take on Linden on Friday, April 30 at 4 p.m. at Hub Stine. Be sure to check the online scheduler for any changes.
