PLAINFIELD, NJ - Councilwoman Ashley Davis presented a resolution to congratulate the Plainfield Youth Empowered for Success (Y.E.S.) basketball program at Monday's council meeting.

The Youth Empowered for Success basketball program is a division of the non-profit Parks, Arts, Recreation, and Community (P.A.R.C.), and was founded by Terence Johnson and Lenny Cathcart.  The league provides youth of all ages a safe, rewarding and competitive level basketball experience.

According to the resolution, the Y.E.S. league started with 180 participants, and has grown to 270 players who live in cities across New Jersey.
