  • Attend a Memorial Day ceremony outside City Hall, 10 a.m., at 515 Watchung Ave.

  • The Historic Preservation Commission, or HPC, is scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. in the library at City Hall.

WEDNESDAY

  • Kid's Movie: The Jungle Book - at Plainfield Public Library in the Anne Louise Davis room, 800 Park Ave., at 3:30 p.m.
  • The Healthy Plainfield Coalition will host the City of Plainfield Transportation Fair, a fun and informative event that will showcase affordable transportation resources, demonstrations, and enrollment opportunities.  From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at City Hall.  Learn more here.
  • The League of Women Voters of Plainfield will hold a 2019 Primary Candidates Forum at duCret School of Art, 1030 Central Ave. 
    • Freeholders Candidate Forum at 6:30 p.m.
    • Plainfield City Council Candidate Forum at 8 p.m.

FRIDAY

  • Sistah's Act 2: Back in the Habit: Emerson Theatre Group Presents their 2019 stage production of everyone's favorite nun and her sisters (and brothers) in crime!  Come watch ETG bring this beloved screen play to life.  At 6:30 p.m. at Emerson Community School, 305 Emerson Ave.
  • Girls Track:  NJSIAA Group Meet at 4 p.m at Franklin High School
  • Boys Track:  NJSIAA Group Meet at 4 p.m at Franklin High School

SATURDAY

  • Sheila E. tops this year’s Rhythm and Blues by the Brook free outdoor music festival. Music fans of all ages are invited to bring their dancing shoes and enjoy a full afternoon of music, movement and family activities at Cedar Brook Park, rain or shine.  Learn more.
  • Sistah's Act 2: Back in the Habit at 2 p.m.
  • Girs Track:  NJSIAA Group Meet at 8 a.m
  • Boys Track:  NJSIAA Group Meet at 9 a.m.

SUNDAY

  • Plainfield Plays Tennis: Join the Donald Van Blake Tennis & Education Foundation for a community day that will include on court activities and drills.  The event is open to all ages, and there will be refreshments and giveaways, too.  You can register here for this free event that will take place at the Donald Van Blake Tennis Courts, 1325 Randolph Rd.
