RAHWAY, NJ - While Rahway didn't receive an extra boost in state aid with the passage of Gov. Phil Murphy's budget, the district still received five percent more - $1,069,871 - than it did in the previous school year.
When Gov. Murphy agreed to Senate President Steve Sweeney's S2 proposal for state aid distribution, 400 districts received an increase over its original allocation. Rahway's aid, however, remained at 22,467,291.
A year ago, Rahway schools received $21,397,420 in state aid.
