Rahway Police Make Arrest of Burglary, Sexual Assault Suspect

RAHWAY, NJ - Rahway Police arrested Jermaine Ramirez, 24 of Newark, on Tuesday after a joint investigation with the Union County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victim’s Unit and Union County Sheriff’s Department revealed his involvement in a burglary and sexual assault of a 67-year-old woman that occurred on East Hazelwood Avenue in Rahway on June 29, 2018. 

Ramirez is also suspected of several residential burglaries on the 1000 block of Hazel Place and the 100 block of East Hazelwood Avenue. 

Ramirez was arrested on July 3, 2018, and is charged with first degree aggravated sexual assault, second degree sexual assault, second degree burglary, third degree aggravated criminal sexual contact.
