Rahway Public School’s Grade Four Gifted and Talented Students Visit the Liberty Science Center

Participating in the Understanding Gravity Workshop, the students were challenged to change a planet’s amount of gravity and find what happens.

Participating in the Phases of the Moon Workshop, students used styrofoam balls and a light and moved their bodies to show each phase of the Moon.

Jersey City, NJ - Rahway Elementary School’s Fourth Grade Gifted and Talented students, along with their teachers, Ms. Susan Farrar, Mrs. Debra Geis, Ms. Susan Rubino, and Ms. Nikki Thompson, visited The Liberty Science Center on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. They attended a workshop on Understanding Gravity that included concepts relating to Newton’s Laws of Motion and a kinesthetic workshop that allowed the students to explore the Phases of the Moon.  As a culminating activity, the students watched the movie, A Beautiful Planet, in the IMAX Dome Theater.
