Franklin Elementary School in Rahway recently participated in a Jeans for Troops fundraiser in honor of Veterans Day. The project was run by students, Adriana Summerset and Jamie Lugos Ortiz, which are pictured left to right. The girls are members of the school's Blue and Gold Club, which is a school-based club made up of students that volunteer their time throughout the year to help with different community service activities.

Faculty and staff members donated money and in exchange were allowed to wear jeans to work.  The school collected $110 which will be donated to the GI GO Fund, a non-profit organization that assists veterans with their return home.
