The Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless is hosting a Free Tenant Certification Training on March 21st at their Center located at 118 Division Street in Elizabeth.  The workshop benefits participants by empowering them with knowledge and tools to become good tenants. Between 9:30 am - 3:00 pm speakers will lead sessions on topics such as tenant’s rights, budgeting, how to find an apartment, how to interview with a landlord, advocating for yourself, and additional community services.

Participants will be awarded certificates upon completion of the workshop. Impress your landlord with your certification. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Interested participants should R.S.V.P. by calling (908) 355-2060 ext. 205, or by emailing anunez@theelizabethcoalition.org.

About the Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless

The Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless is a nonprofit established 35 years ago to serve the needs of the homeless and the near homeless in the community. The agency works to give their clients the tools to transition to safe, affordable housing so they can live healthy, productive lives and where they are accepted as members of the community. The Coalition teaches people to self-advocate and to empower themselves to become self-sufficient. The agency seeks to build a community of support and compassion in partnership with St. Joseph Social Service Center, the community-at-large, volunteers, and other agencies committed to advancing the interests of homeless and near homeless people.
