RAHWAY, NJ - Jayson Gonzalez pitched a five-hitter and also drove in what proved to be the winning run in the second inning of Rahway's 3-2 baseball victory over Brearley on Tuesday at Veterans' Field.

In the second inning, Ryan Beenders doubled and scored on Gonzalez's single to stake Rahway (13-5) to a 3-0 lead. The Indians had taken a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first when the first two batters in the order, Luis Muller and Jason Winters each singled and scored.

Gonzalez limited Brearley (3-12) to five hits, striking out six and walking four, throwing 98 pitches in his complete game.
