RANDOLPH, NJ- According to the Morris County Office of Emergency Management, the weather team informed them that Morris County may experience snowfall rates of 1-3" per hour is possible on all surfaces during the morning rush. Randolph Township Schools will be closed.

Heavy snow will gradually become lighter during the late morning before ending in the afternoon. We can expect the snow to start around 12 a.m. Thursday. The heaviest snow will fall from 6 a.m. through 11 a.m., with total snow accumulations of 10-13”. Major impacts are likely.

Due to the expected snow, collection of Thursday’s routes has been canceled. The routes will be collected the following day, Friday, February 10. Please make sure that your materials are placed at the curb no later than 6:00 a.m. Friday morning.

The township stated the following, "Residents are encouraged to limit travel, however, if travel is necessary, please allow extra time. Road crews will be working throughout the storm. There is no parking on township streets during the storm and subsequent snow removal—this will be strictly enforced. If you lose electrical power, report the outage to JCP&L at 1-888-LIGHTSS. Residents should immediately report downed wires and never go near a downed power line, even if you think it is no longer carrying electricity. Extra caution should be used in areas where downed lines are tangled in trees or other debris. Motorists are cautioned to treat intersections with inoperable traffic signals as four-way stops." JCP&L power outage info .
