RANDOLPH, NJ- There is a new champion in town for the Randolph Men's Masters Softball League.

Springfield BMW took the title for the recently completed 2017 season, winning a "best of three" game championship round by a 2-1 game margin. The team, led by manager Will Ruscher, defeated Main Street Marketing in an epic battle that was decided in extra innings.

Main Street Marketing proved to be a formidable opponent, emerging from the losers bracket and winning the first game of the double elimination tournament, forcing Springfield BMW to have to win two in a row to be crowned champs.

With both teams limping towards the finish line Springfield BMW emerged as champions when Keith Poskitt had the extra inning game-winning hit.  Matt Bibbo was on the mound for Springfield, pitching a solid game to help lead his team to victory.
