Randolph, NJ — Randolph Pain Relief and Wellness Center (PRWC) is hosting the fourth annual Health, Fitness and Fun Fest (previously Community Wellness Fest) on Saturday, March 24 from 12 pm - 3 pm at Randolph Middle School.

This year, Randolph PRWC will partner with the P.A.W.S. Club at RMS, advised by guidance counselor LuAnn Mizzoni, to hold a collection drive to benefit the Randolph Animal Shelter.

“P.A.W.S (Pet Awareness with Smiles) is a middle school service club which was created last year by students who love animals and who are devoted to their humane treatment. The club focuses on the safety and welfare of all animals.” said Mizzoni.

Attendees of the Health, Fitness and Fun Fest are invited to bring donations of needed items for the pound. These items include dry or canned cat food, dry or canned dog food, and cleaning supplies such as paper towels and bleach.

“It’s incredible what the P.A.W.S. Club has accomplished,” said Sunny Nowell, Shelter Manager at the Randolph Animal Shelter. “The students come in on weekends and really understand the importance of what they’re doing. We’re so grateful for the time and work of these young leaders.”

Dr. David Simon, co-owner of Randolph PRWC, noted, “It’s amazing how this event has grown and evolved over the years. We love the partnerships that develop and the collection for the Shelter is no different. It’s a win-win-win for the event, the kids and the animals.”

In addition to this drive, the Health Fitness and Fun Fest will feature demonstrations, free healthy food samples, and health screenings from local businesses and vendors.

Food vendors offering free food samples will include Alfa Bagel, Burrini’s Olde World Market, Dominick’s Pizza and Panini, Maschio’s Food Services, and the Randolph Diner.

There will be demonstrations by Elite Toma Martial Arts, Slattery School of Irish dance, the Morris County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit, and Randolph Township School’s teacher Amy Rubin will lead a group meditation. Athletic Republic and Randolph YMCA will provide fitness challenges for attendees throughout the day.

The event will also feature a Kid Zone with games and arts and crafts led by retired Randolph teacher Christine Brembs, as well as face painting provided by Baumwoll Orthodontics and a photo booth provided by Eloquent Studios.
