“The program has exposed me to so many different STEM professions and it allowed me to further explore my interests,” says Bailey Speight , a 12th grade student at Randolph High School. “My favorite activity was programing and building the Sumobot!”
Arconic serves as the sponsor to the Engineering and Technology Exploring Post where participants will learn about innovative aerospace, airplane structures, and more from a global leader in lightweight metals technology, engineering and manufacturing. Exploring is a worksite-based program of Learning for Life, a subsidiary of the Boy Scouts of America, for young men and women who are 14 through 20 years old (15 through 21 in some areas). Exploring units, called "posts", usually have a focus on a single career field, such as police, fire/rescue, emergency medical services, healthcare, law, aviation, engineering, or the like, and may be sponsored by a government or business entity.
