RANDOLPH, NJ- Artworks Studio is hosting a FREE event THIS Monday, August 21 from 1:20 - 4:00 pm at Freedom Park Pavillion to build a simple and safe NASA-approved projector to view the solar eclipse.  No sign-ups required, just show up!

Join Artsworks Studio from 1:20 - 2:00 p.m. to build your projector, then stay to view it! The eclipse begins at 1:22 p.m. and will peak at 2:44 p.m. with 73% coverage.  The eclipse will end at 4:00pm.

It is VERY IMPORTANT TO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE ECLIPSE unless you are using approved viewing glasses or a projector.  SEVERE eye damage can occur.

PLEASE BRING WITH YOU:  A cereal box or other similar box.

Artworks will supply foil, pins, tape and paper.  That is all that is needed!  The projector is not for looking towards the sun; to use it, you will put your back to the sun and be viewing a crisp shadow of the eclipse in your projector.

To see how to build your own projector at home, go to Artworks Studio Facebook page (Artworks Studio Randolph NJ) and watch the NASA-produced tutorial.
